Promises

For the latest Chinese Whispers bonus challenge, we were to use a song title from Take That. I struggled with the challenge, but when I was done, I was quite content with the result. The journaling says:

There are so many promises I've made to this little girl over the years, from riding on the mechanical horse after a trip to Wal-mart, to going to Borders at 1AM to buy the latest Harry Potter book, or when I promised she could redo her flowery 'little girl' room into a more gorwn up look.

But the most important promises are the ones I see in her future. The ones where I promise to love her no matter what she does, even if I disapprove. Or when I promise to do everything in my power to help her attain her own dreams. Or promising to give advice when its needed, promising to be there to listen, promising to just be there ...to be there.
